Most payments on FairPay are 3D Secured, meaning you must confirm with your phone.
3D Secure (3DS) is when you must complete an additional verification step with the card issuer when paying. Typically, you will receive a code or prompt on your phone to complete your payment.
3D Secure helps us fight fraud and offer the lowest vendor cut on the market so that most of your money goes to your favorite content creators.
3DSecure is also known under various commercial names, such as "Verified By Visa", "MasterCard SecureCode", "American Express SafeKey" and "J/Secure".
Please note that your bank handles 3D Secure; FairPay does not have your phone number.
If your card is not eligible for 3D Secure, you can still purchase on FairPay.
However, if your card is eligible, FairPay will always request 3D Secure on your payments.
